Debugging Unit Tests in Android Studio

Postby phunni » Tue Jul 25, 2017 1:34 pm

I've been using AS to code my libGDX projects for a while now - even the desktop stuff - because it's a little ahead of Idea for the Android stuff and there doesn't seem any point in using two IDEs for the same project.

I've hit a problem in one of my unit tests, however, and, when I tried to debug it, I got the following error:

Unable to open debugger port (127.0.0.1:45011): java.net.SocketException "Socket closed"

It is very far from clear to me what needs to be done to fix this - if it's even possible in AS. Googling simply returns a bunch of results about general unit test support in AS, but not for running more general unit tests that have nothing to do with Android...

Has anyone encountered this and figured it out?
