Here is an early look at the top-down racer game for Android that i'm developing with libgdx: it's unpolished and missing features, but it's starting to take shape.
You are going to race against yourself (the ghost car replay you can see in the video) or other players' records stored remotely, playing against the replay's ghost car: it could not just be a "best laptime" race, but also something like "less time without drifting" and "time spent drifting", i've lot of ideas but at this time nooooone of them is yet definitive.
The car's physical parameters/behavior could be made customizable, but i'll have to think and see how well this will work with the multiplayer component.
Single player could also be made more intrigous by implementing CPU-driven cars and having the player race against them, still thinking about every aspect of the game.
