SVG implementation

Postby dodormeur » Mon Oct 09, 2017 9:24 am

Hello everyone !

For my master's degree in CS, I can make a big contribution to an open source project, and I want to implement SVG support in libgdx !
So to narrow exactly what would be useful to the community and the devs, I ask you to answer to a small form, to understand exactly what you need :)

Here is the form => https://goo.gl/forms/vCt0vFSB746tG5vr1

Thank you very much !

So you plan on implementing a parser and rasterizer from scratch? Or are you wrapping some existing implementation?

I'll probably use an existing XML parser, create a drawing interface, and probably use NanoVG as rendering tech.
It would be more combining existing tech than creating everything from scratch, since most implementation have a restrictive licence

That sounds a bit more reasonable, good luck!
