Due to a lot of people adding me to the GTalk account recently i decided to bring back memories from the past and open an IRC channel for all libgdx related stuff.

I don't know about others, but I couldn't connect to apistudios, I did however do some digging and I found that the Apistudios website is using the IRC server : irc.apiservers.com I was able to connect to that and there is a #badlogic there.

Yes it is. Sometimes the server is a tiny bit down though

That server seems a poor choice since it has a habit of disconnecting itself from the network every 5-10 minutes.

Is there a reason apiservers.com was chosen? How about registering (or just camping out in) a channel on a server known for hosting open source projects? I recommend http://freenode.net/ which is home to #lwjgl and #ubuntu among others.
