Cortex A8
From Android Game Development Wiki
The Cortex A8 is made by Texas Instruments and was first used in the Motorola Droid/Milestone phones. It comes in a few different flavors and speeds but here is the long and short of it:
- It supports NEON instructions (fast floating point processing)
- Clock for clock, it is usually faster than a Qualcomm MSM7200 and Snapdragon
- It does not have an integrated GPU so it is usually paired with a PowerVR GPU.
Phones using the Cortex A8:
- Motorola Droid (600mhz OMAP 3430)
- Motorola Milestone (600mhz OMAP 3430)
- Samsung Galaxy S (1ghz OMAP)
- Motorola Droid X (1ghz OMAP 3630)
- Motorola Droid 2 (1ghz OMAP 3620)
