Early stage RoboVM libgdx backend

Wow, Niklas of RoboVM fame just tweeted this:

Exciting times. It’s still very early stage, but it’s definitely promising.

Another boundary to be broken by the libgdx project. Building on the shoulders of giants indeed. can’t thank RoboVM enough, all those who release open source programs are amazing.

You guys are amazing! Truly amazing!!

Just to make this clear, there was zero involvement from any libgdx folks here. I just gave Niklas a few directions on how to approach creating a backend, and bam, magic :)

Awesome!!! Would be great to have a way around the Mono license (which still would be worth it for being able to target another platform for a successful Android/HTML5/PC game).

Guess there’s still not a good way around needing to have Apple “OS” ;)

One day I hope RoboVM will do away with the Mac OS X requirement: http://code.google.com/p/ios-toolchain-based-on-clang-for-linux/

One day… So much to do, so little time. Patches are always welcome: https://github.com/robovm/robovm. ;-)
