As a part of our academic study, me and my buddy developed our first game for Android using the popular libGDX library. It's a clone of the classic game Dyna Blaster (Bomberman) with Multiplayer support by Wifi or Bluetooth. We made Deathmatch and Catch The Flag modes and you can play it with your friends 1vs1 or 2vs2 !

You can use the points you won from completing Achievements, to set your Build and get a little edge over your friends.

We also have singleplayer mode with various levels you can play.

Keep in mind that it was our first experience with Android platform and it's also the first time we publish our work. We will open source it soon, but if you want to know some implementation details we can answer all your questions right away.
Can you give us some feedback?? Also, let us know of any bugs you find :)

If you bother about some kind of copyright infringement:

It's just and academic project. Our course is not design related, so that's why we struggled to produce some original content. But our work is totally free. Not commercial intended. Not ad suported. Only OUR work will be open sourced. But I understand you... copyright is what it is...
We mentioned the owners of the original content somewhere in the app... So if they have something to point out, they can contact us and the problem will be immediatelly solved.

No problems with doing stuff for educational purposes, but please for crying out loud at least come up with an original name!! :D

But good job, looks really well done.

Thank you bach. After so much work we really should've spent a little more time thinking about the final name

I have to say that libGDX is outstanding!! Flawless ! It was the first time we used it and we we're able to do all this work based on the available demos. I am amazed by how it performs on my 600hz cpu and shitty gpu device :) Everything would be impossible without this amazing library.

Wow, I'm just working on a similar game (I have like 50% done). :) I'll be going in a different direction though (single player mostly). :) I'll post demo version in a week or two. :)

There seem's to be some kind of problem with texture border artifacts or some tearing. Can it be because of using nearest neighbour filter for the tiles textures??? :|

Thank you everyone!!!

By the way, some people are having problem with input. How do you feel about the directional controller? Can you think of a way to improve it?

Hi there,

My friend and I are also working on a bomberman type game (although ours will differ quite abit) as our introduction into game development.

You mentioned open sourcing your project, when do you intend on doing this?
In the mean time, did you use a TMX tiled map? if so how did you handle collision?

Many thanks for any feedback.

Congratulations on a fantastic first game.
