why is java ArrayList<T> faster than libGDX Array<T>

Anything about development not directly related to libgdx, e.g. OpenGL, Android APIs etc.

The point of libgdx collections is that they are less garbage collector intensive then default collections, not that they are faster or slower.
I find it unlikely that Object[] is 10x faster then T[]. You complained few days ago that you cant get setup to work, odds are you are doing something weird.
